From Littleton's Springs to one of Parker County's fastest-growing towns
Springtown sits on State Highway 199 near the north edge of Parker County. Joseph Ward settled the spring-fed site in 1856 and named it Littleton's Springs. Residents renamed it Springtown in the mid-1870s, and it incorporated in 1884. Today it's growing quickly. Census estimates show 3,062 residents in the 2020 base and about 5,204 in 2025, and Parker County grew about 25% over the same stretch.
