Metal, specialty shingles and full siding replacement in Runaway Bay
From our Bridgeport office we take on whole-roof and whole-house projects in Runaway Bay and across Wise County. Homes open to wind off the water are good candidates for standing seam, which has no exposed fasteners across the roof field, and on any roof we plan how the edges and ridges are fastened.
- Specialty and designer shingles. Designer and luxury shingles and slate-look and shake-look shingles for homes where the roof is part of the look.
- Standing seam and other metal. 26-gauge standing seam, plus 26-gauge R-panel, stone-coated steel and metal shingles and tile. We form our standing seam panels in-house on our own roll formers and standing seam machine, and our own crew installs them.
- Premium shingle systems. Impact-rated shingle systems from the manufacturers we're certified with (GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning and Atlas). Class 3 is our minimum and Class 4 is available, with TDI Form PC068 for your insurer. Credits vary by company.
- Full siding replacement. Whole-house siding replacement, done with the roof, gutters, soffit and fascia in one project when you want everything to match.
Snow Roofing & Exteriors is A+ rated on the BBB. We do repair leaks and storm damage near Runaway Bay too, and if a repair is all your roof needs, we'll tell you that first. See storm & hail inspections.
After the April 2026 storms
On April 25, 2026, NOAA storm reports included hail up to 2.75 inches in the Runaway Bay and Bridgeport area, and an EF-2 tornado touched down in Runaway Bay. Local news reported major damage, including to roofs. Some lake homes got obvious damage. Others may have lifted shingles, loose panels or bruised shingles that won't show until the next heavy rain.
If your roof hasn't been looked at since then, here's what we check:
- Shingles lifted or creased by wind, which have usually lost their seal even if they're still on the roof
- Hail bruising and granule loss, plus dents in gutters, vents and flashing
- Loose or bent metal panels, ridge cap and trim
- Impact damage from flying debris and limbs
- Water stains in the attic around penetrations
We photograph what we find. If you file a claim, we meet your adjuster on the roof. Texas law requires you to pay your deductible, and we never waive it. See storm & hail inspections.
Building back for life on the lake
Lake Bridgeport is a Tarrant Regional Water District reservoir on the West Fork of the Trinity River. Its dam was finished in 1931, and water started filling the lake in 1932. Lake lots sit wide open to wind coming across the water. When we replace a roof here, we focus on:
- Edges and ridges. These are where wind uplift starts, so fastening and starter courses matter most here.
- Standing seam for a clean look from the water and no exposed screws
- Class 4 shingles if you want the top shingle impact rating. Credits vary by insurer.
- Boathouses, pergolas and pool houses roofed to match the main house. See pool houses and pergolas.
A growing lake community
Census estimates show Runaway Bay at 1,543 residents in the 2020 base and about 2,212 in 2025. The city of Lake Bridgeport grew from 337 to about 395. We serve full-time residents, weekend owners and rentals. If you're not at the lake, we can send you photos of what we find.
