Signs of trouble
- Soft, swollen or peeling fascia boards, often behind old gutters
- Sagging or missing soffit panels
- Birds, wasps or squirrels getting into the attic
- Paint failing along the roof edge
- A hot attic with no soffit intake vents
Fix it with the roof
Re-roofing is the best time to fix the edge of the house. With the old drip edge and gutters off, we can replace rotted boards instead of covering them up, add soffit venting so the new roof's ventilation works, and hang new gutters on solid wood.
